BYOD makes Application Performance Management (APM) a must

In order to manage the growing consumerization or increasing use of private devices in the professional environment - also called BYOD (bring your own device) - in line with enterprise applications, the use of application performance management software makes sense.

IT consumerization is a serious problem for network administrators. The number of smartphones, tablets, and mobile devices with many apps that plug into and use enterprise applications and networks has grown significantly in recent years - and this trend continues!

As more and more devices connect to applications on a network, administrators need to find new ways to handle increased traffic while keeping business-critical applications running unhindered.

Failure to do so will impact business-critical applications by struggling with available bandwidth due to increased network traffic from a larger number of devices on the network. This has a negative effect on the performance of the company.
The cloud is also affected

Similarly, this can also have consequences for the cloud - be it a public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructure - as a failed application can slow down an entire network. A challenge in this situation is also to determine who is responsible for network performance issues - as long as one can determine where these problems are.

Optimizing applications against the background of consumerization is thus a complex and complex area. IT managers of a company have to consider many factors. One way to ensure that the network functions optimally and meets the needs of the enterprise is application performance management (APM). APM vendors can help organizations monitor in detail what's happening on their network and identify issues before they can impact the business.

APM technologies can also provide information about network usage, for example, when companies want to expand their network capacity selectively at peak times, when certain WLAN devices cause delays in the network, or when another application needs to be optimized to use less bandwidth.
Traffic Driver Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC)

If mobile phones are integrated into the telephone systems via FMC, a company also has to deal with drastically increased communication traffic. Not only do networks have to cope with a higher volume but also with different kinds of traffic, which adds to the pressure on the networks.

Again, APM solutions can be very helpful in monitoring the impact of Fixed Mobile Convergence on the network. This can be very quickly determined if individual applications affect the systems. In addition, all systems involved can be optimized so decisively.
